Bloomberg

We are STATE, and we've been helping media, technology, and financial brands turn complex ideas into engaging visual stories through design, animation, live action, and motion systems.

Over the years, we've partnered with Bloomberg, Yahoo, Google, Slack, Netflix, Paramount, Apple, and Betterment, creating everything from live event identities and editorial content to branded films, product launches, and scalable motion systems that extend across broadcast, digital, social, and live experiences.

We'd love the opportunity to build on the relationship we've already established with Bloomberg Media Studios and become an extension of the Bloomberg Live team. Some of our favorite projects sit at the intersection of editorial, broadcast, and live experiences, where the challenge is creating visual systems that are distinctive enough to elevate the event while remaining flexible enough to support every touchpoint—from the opening film to the last session of the day.

The Work

Yahoo

For Yahoo NewFront, we helped set the pace for a day of big announcements, new products, and conversations about what's next. Bold typography, graphic transitions, and editorial storytelling move between keynotes, speaker moments, and live content, giving the presentation a distinct energy across the entire event.

Some of the biggest names in business, finance, and technology share the stage at Yahoo Finance Invest. Motion, typography, and editorial graphics help organize a fast-moving program of interviews, panels, and market conversations across screens and stages. Part broadcast package, part event identity, built to support the conversation, not steal the microphone.

Our partnership with Yahoo extends across products, audiences, and platforms. For Yahoo Fantasy's new High Score format, we built on an existing design direction with bold typography, halftone textures, and high-impact motion, creating a launch campaign that feels every bit as competitive as the game itself.

Google Pixel 9

We busted out all our top-tier hand gestures (think: finger guns and dramatic pointing) for the Google Pixel 9 After Party. Oh, and yeah, we threw in a phone—because apparently, that’s important. Big love to the creative geniuses at Ogilvy NY for making sure we didn’t just stop at jazz hands!

“In 3 total weeks we designed a visual toolkit to deliver a commercial campaign, run of show graphic toolkit, promo toolkit, and a whole lot of fun.”

Google Bay View

Two toolkits, two sides of the Google event experience. Created for live events at Google Bay View, one was designed to welcome and engage partners, using animation, typography, and campus stories to make the journey part of the event itself. The other was created for Google presentations, supporting everything from welcomes and agendas to product moments and transitions throughout the day.

Together, the toolkits gave Google a broad range of content to work with across different audiences and event formats, while feeling at home inside Bay View, a campus designed around people, sustainability, and a new approach to the workplace

Star Trek

Beam aboard our creative cosmos for Paramount+’s Strange New Worlds! Our team boldly ventured where no designer has gone before, conjuring up an array of diverse worlds that would make even Klingons jealous. Turning our sci-fi dreams into warp-speed reality.

The journey didn't stop with the hero film. The campaign extended across digital and large-format OOH, including a Times Square takeover that brought these strange new worlds to one of the busiest corners on Earth.

Slack

When Slack reached out to us, we shared overenthusiastic emojis and our best GIFs...in Slack. So we made Slack with Slack on Slack.

We continue to work with Slack on a variety of content projects. We find value for Slack delivering event videos that also work on web and social. Slack is all about working on Slack for Slack!

Sphere Cheetos

We love a challenge with a little crunch. Teaming up with Cheetos and Sphere Entertainment, we let Chester loose on Vegas: bigger, louder, and brighter than ever.

New tools, new territory, and a lot of orange dust later, we turned Sphere’s massive screen into a glowing snack beacon in the desert.

Superhuman AI

This spot for Superhuman + Grammarly moves like someone who’s already cleared their inbox—fast, intentional, no wasted motion. With AI handling the noise, we let motion do the talking: tight edits, bold type, and UI moments that move at inbox-zero speed.
The collaboration has grown into an ongoing partnership, where we've developed a scalable motion framework that continues to evolve across the brand. From explainers and product storytelling to landing pages and brand films, the system keeps everything moving with the same speed, clarity, and personality.

Nickelodeon KCA

We partnered with Nickelodeon to build a visual system for the Kids’ Choice Awards fun, fast, and built for live TV chaos.

"The Toolkit" delivered modular backgrounds, icons, text, and slime, ready to mix, match, and render in record time without losing creativity.

The work went on to earn a Gold Telly Award, proving that a little slime can go a long way.

Riot Masters Madrid

Four styles, four regions, four different artists, one vibe. This was a true global collaboration with artists and talent around the world that went far beyond sharing files on Dropbox. Together with Riot, we developed a motion system and 360° campaign that unified every touchpoint: from the hero film, key art, and visualizers to the live-event graphics, environmental signage, and everything in between. When we say 360, we mean it. (Big shout out to Google Translate!)

Waze

Getting our animations in the Houston Rockets stadium was a dream. What’s not a dream? Post-NBA game traffic. But we heard Waze knows the best way home. Fingers crossed they also know the nearest burger joint. 🍔
